Level I: Foundations in Craniomaxillofacial Surgery *

 

Foundations in Craniomaxillofacial Surgery provides junior residents specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Plastic Surgery with an opportunity to further their knowledge and skills in the foundations of internal rigid fixation in craniomaxillofacial fractures and reconstruction through the use of hands-on sessions with anatomical models. Attendance is limited and intended for a regionally located audience.

Level II: Building upon the Foundation: Surgical Approaches and Techniques *

 

These interactive cadaver programs are designed specifically for upper level residents who have a desire to enhance and refine knowledge and skills in surgical approaches and techniques. The faculty works intimately with participants on a variety of hands on surgical approaches and techniques. Course topics and objectives differ at each course in order to accommodate local needs. Attendance is limited and intended for a regionally located audience.

Level III: Enhancing Surgical Skills for Senior Residents *

 

Two-day courses designed for chief residents and fellows requiring more advanced knowledge in the treatment planning process and surgical management of facial trauma fractures and repair of facial lesions and defects using local flap reconstruction. This advanced course has a heavy practicum emphasis with multiple cadaver workshops where surgical approaches and the finer points of procedures will be offered. Faculty will present advanced concepts in anatomy, surgical approaches, reconstruction and fixation options.
